The OceanStates Document Collection website is up and running!

We are pleased to announce that our online, open-access Document Collection has officially been launched! While the Document Collection is still a work in progress, Phase One of the site’s construction is now complete, featuring a collection of Key UN Documents related to central topics of the OceanStates project. The collection contains UN treaties and agreements that make up the framework of international law and international instruments concerning issues that are central to the project. It includes key documents related to these topics from the UN Security Council, the General Assembly, and the subsidiary body to the General Assembly, the Human Rights Council. While all documents are publicly available on various UN websites, our collection has them titled and organized by topic to make them more easily accessible.

The Key UN Documents collection is compiled and constructed by Ms Anja Marie Solheim, a student at the Faculty of Law at the University of Bergen. Ms Solheim has experience from the Permanent Mission of Norway to the United Nations in New York and is part of the OceanStates-team as research assistant. Along with the rest of the Collection, the Key UN Documents collection will continue to be updated and filled with relevant documents as we go.
